Phantom has brought prediction markets directly into its Web3 wallet through integration with Kalshi, allowing users to discover, track, and trade real-world events right within the app, without leaving the wallet.
The new feature, called Phantom Prediction Markets, allows users to participate in markets centered around politics, crypto, sports, and culture. According to a press release on Friday, opening a position is “as simple as swapping Token.”
With this integration, Phantom wallet users can purchase Tokenize positions tied to Kalshi's prediction market using SOL or Phantom's CASH stablecoin, without creating a new account or transferring funds to another platform. Users can also track prices, odds, scores, and event developments in real time, and receive notifications when the market or position is settled.
This move comes as Kalshi is experiencing strong growth in volume, user numbers, and open interest across key political, economic, and cultural markets, with total activity reaching $5.8 billion in the past month alone.
Kalshi operates under the supervision of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), with markets designed based on clear, objectively verifiable outcomes linked to news, economic data, sporting seasons, and the entertainment industry.
Phantom stated that the addition of prediction markets further enhances the wallet's existing toolset, which includes swap Token and perpetual contract trading. Each market also features a live community chat room, allowing participants to exchange views and monitor market sentiment in real time as odds change.
“We built Phantom to make crypto intuitive for everyone, and now we’re bringing that same simplicity to prediction markets,” Chia Phantom CEO Brandon Millman.
