Although they do not encourage using Bitcoin for non-financial data purposes, they believe that as an anti-censorship and decentralized system, users and miners should have the right to freely choose transaction content. They pointed out that Bitcoin Core software will not be automatically updated, and any changes require users to choose to upgrade, which reflects the fundamental values of the Bitcoin network: freedom and decentralization. They emphasized that in reality, users and miners can easily bypass relay restrictions, so node software design should focus on predicting which transactions will enter blocks, rather than attempting to interfere with legitimate transaction behaviors.
The statement finally emphasized that they will continue to work towards the long-term health of Bitcoin, optimize transaction relay strategies, and balance system security, block construction efficiency, and resistance to attacks.
