As the New Jersey gubernatorial election approaches, the cryptocurrency policies of the next governor candidates are increasingly influencing voters' choices. Particularly, major candidates recently attended a cryptocurrency support rally and publicly shared their positions.
On June 5th (local time), one Republican candidate and two Democratic candidates appeared before cryptocurrency-supporting voters in New Jersey. The event was hosted by the political cryptocurrency advocacy group 'Stand With Crypto' and was held five days before the primary election voting day on June 10th. According to local media reports, over 300,000 voters have already completed early voting.
Steven Fulop, Jersey City mayor and one of the Democratic gubernatorial candidates who attended the event, emphasized, "I believe that cryptocurrency will be the core of America's future and the global economic system, and the state pension committee shares this view." This statement is interpreted as indicating that the state government recognizes cryptocurrency as an important asset class.
With Trump expanding his cryptocurrency-friendly approach and digital assets becoming a major issue within the Republican Party, a similar trend is being observed in the New Jersey gubernatorial primary. Experts believe this trend will gradually spread across the political landscape as support for cryptocurrency-friendly candidates grows, particularly among younger generations.
