Foundation Announces Upcoming Report in Response to Criticism

On the 4th, the foundation announced through an official statement that it will release quarterly and annual reports documenting the foundation's asset holdings, investment performance, and key financial situations.
The foundation explained that considering the current cryptocurrency market dynamics and community evaluations, they will maintain a transparent financial status. Previously, the Ethereum community had strong criticism regarding the foundation's non-transparent financial situation.
Particularly, in the statement, Wang Xiaowei, director of the Ethereum Foundation, pointed out that the foundation's financial situation is not easy and emphasized the need for careful resource allocation.
The director stated, "2025 and 2026 will be crucial years for Ethereum, and we are moving towards transparent financial disclosure to achieve goals during this critical period."
The Ethereum Foundation released its financial statement for 2024. As of October 31, 2024, the foundation held approximately $970.2 million in assets, of which about $788.7 million was composed of cryptocurrencies.
