U.S. President Donald Trump's eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., said at the Bitcoin 2025 conference in Las Vegas that he and younger brother Eric Trump "orange-pilled" their father into the crypto world, according to CoinDesk. The Trump family has always been focused on hard assets, especially real estate, Don Jr. stated, while previously thinking Bitcoin was "a bit nebulous." After entering the political realm, however, they have been subject to debanking and de-insurance. This has made the Trump family aware of the fragility of the traditional financial system. Don Jr. underscored that he and Eric “definitely” have played a role in helping their father understand the potential of crypto and blockchain technology.
