Ark Invest has significantly raised its 2030 bullish scenario target price for Bitcoin (BTC) from $1.5 million to $2.4 million, reflecting Bitcoin's scarcity and institutional investment demand.
According to The Block on the 25th (local time), Ark Invest has adjusted its Bitcoin (BTC) 2030 bullish scenario target price from $1.5 million to $2.4 million. Ark Invest analyst David Puell explained in a report that this target price increase is the result of applying a new experimental model that excludes long-term held or lost quantities from Bitcoin's liquid supply. The bullish scenario forecast assumes an average annual growth rate of 72% from the end of 2024 to 2030.
Through experimental modeling, Ark Invest expects Bitcoin to reach $1.2 million in the base scenario (53% average annual growth) and $500,000 in the bearish scenario (32% average annual growth). Puell analyzed that Bitcoin's role as digital gold is driving the bearish and base scenarios, while institutional investment is the main driver of the bullish scenario. He also added that in emerging markets, Bitcoin is attracting attention as an investment tool accessible with just internet access, providing defense against US dollar purchasing power and asset appreciation. Puell emphasized that "most current Bitcoin valuation models do not sufficiently reflect scarcity and lost supply".
