Metaplanet's Bitcoin holdings will have a floating profit of $35 million in 2024

Odaily reported that the Japanese listed company Metaplanet announced its financial results for the 2024 fiscal year, with unrealized gains on its BTC holdings reaching $35 million (approximately 5.46 billion Yen). As of the end of 2024, the company held a total of 1,761 BTC, with a total purchase cost of $137 million. Metaplanet plans to hold 10,000 BTC by the end of 2025 and increase its holdings to 21,000 BTC by the end of 2026. The company is increasing its BTC holdings through the issuance of collateralized bonds, convertible bonds, equity financing, and cash flow operations. In addition, Metaplanet's shareholder count grew by 500% to 50,000 in 2024, and its stock price rose 8% on Monday, with a cumulative increase of 64% since the beginning of the year. (Coindesk)
